Message to Prospective Members

Thank you for your interest in aviation and for taking the time to seek us out. Palm Springs Aviators, Inc. is a not-for-profit California mutual benefit corporation that has been active since 2014. We are the only flying club in the Coachella Valley, and have a proud group of equity members, several social members, and three club-approved CFIs.

We started out with a Piper Dakota and moved up to the A36 Bonanza in 2019. We have been growing fast since the Bonanza acquisition, and are considering acquiring a second airplane along the lines of a Cessna 172 or Piper Warrior/Archer to provide a wider range of flight options, especially for low-time private pilots and student pilots. Let us know if you’re interested in that possibility!

We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Atlantic Aviation conference room at KPSP (with rare changes in venue), and would love having you attend one of our meetings to see what we are all about. Our contemplated acquisition of another aircraft will not happen absent new members interested in such a plane. Don't be shy, make the call.

Qualifications

  • Private or more advanced pilot certificate

  • Minimum of 250 hours total time

  • Minimum of 25 hours retract and 10 hours in make and model

  • or, in lieu of type time and make and model time, a minimum of 10 hours dual instruction with a club instructor including at least 15 takeoffs and landings
